We have many opportunities to connect with God and one another. Some small groups meet at a restaurant, a home or the church to study the Bible or a Christian-themed book, pray, care for one another, have fun, and do mission projects together. Growth Groups are a great way to meet new people and grow in your faith! Every fall (and sometimes in the winter), we sponsor an all-church book study involving our Growth Groups.
There are many reasons to join a small group at church, including:
· Building community: Small groups can help you feel like you belong and are part of a bigger picture. You can develop close relationships with other members and provide emotional support and accountability.
· Studying the Bible: Small groups can be a place to study the Bible and grow in faith, knowledge, and service.
· Prayer: Small groups are a place to pray with and for others.
· Serving: Small groups can be a place to serve together and make a difference.
· Learning how to share Christ: Small groups can be a place to learn how to share Christ with others.
· Being discipled: Small groups can be a place to be discipled and make disciples.
· Being challenged: Small groups can challenge you to live differently as you study God's word together.
· Developing leadership and ministry skills: Small groups can be a place to develop skills in leadership and ministry.
· Opening up: Small groups can be a place where you can admit what's really going on and learn how to open up so that others can encourage you.
