Youth Ministry
Mayfield's Youth Ministries are open to all students grades 7 - 12. We want to help youth on their own faith journeys and help them to learn more about how they can live their lives following the example of Jesus Christ
This ministry is led by a full time staff member and many adult volunteers dedicated to helping the youth develop their faith and build a strong relationship with Christ. They consist of:
- Weekly youth events (usually on Sunday evenings)
- Sunday Bible Study for 9th -12th grade students during the 11:00 Service. This class is focused on life issues and how to combine faith in daily decisions.
- Confirmation Classes for students in the 7th and 8th grades during the 11:00 service.
- This 2 year focused class is getting students ready to confirm their membership in the church. Students learn the Apostle’s Creed, Ten Commandments, Lord’s Prayer and other cornerstones of faith. The class also visits other faith communities for worship.
Camp Aldersgate
The Camp Aldersgate Experience is a Mayfield Church Youth Ministry tradition open to any youth from those leaving the 6th grade through graduating seniors. This is a week of camping at Camp Aldersgate in Leesville, Ohio, and is filled with fellowship, Small Groups, sharing, learning opportunities, quiet time with God, campfires, singing, sports, games, free-time, skits, water activities, and candlelight walks. (Church membership is not required and friends are always welcome.)
- Youth Ministry Team
- This is a group of dedicated adult volunteers that work with the youth.
Regular Community service opportunities are another strong part of our youth ministry.
