New Orleans

After Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005, Methodist churches all over the country sent teams to New Orleans to clean up, repair, and rebuild neighborhoods. In November, 2007, we sent our fifth mission team along with 11 other Western Reserve District churches down  to rehab three churches and homes nearby so that they can reopen and minister to their communities. These teams give hope to the people in need, letting them know they are not forgotten. Many of our team members have returned 2 or 3 times because the found the interaction with the people so rewarding.
