History
Founded in the fall of 2005, we have staged several productions. Our first piece was “Godspell Jr” in the fall of 2005. Next we produced the liturgical drama “Were You There” for Maundy Thursday of 2006. Our last production for our opening season was a pair of one acts – “Voice of the Prairie – the Laura Ingalls Wilder Story” and “The Shining Moment”

Our second season opened with “Cinderella” and closed with “James and the Giant Peach”.
Our third season opened with “You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and ended with two fairy tales - with a twist: "The Prince Who Wouldn't Talk" by James Brock and "Mother Goose is Eaten by Werewolves" by Steph DeFerie.
We opened our fourth season with "Honk!", a musical comedy based on the Ugly Duckling.
On Feb. 28, 2010, members of the MyTheatre group visited the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage to hear Holocaust survivor Betty Gold. Gold was among 33 survivors from her town of 5,000 Jews. From age 12, Gold was on the run from the Nazis, living in the woods and in caves with her family. When the Germans would surround a group of Jews, her father would say, "Run! Some of you will escape!" She'd hear the bullets whiz by and see her friends drop. After the war, Gold discovered a cousin in America who brought her here. The museum visit was so the young actors could learn more about children and the Holocaust, which is the focus of their spring production, "I Never Saw Another Butterfly."
The
play will be performed at 7:30 PM on Thursday, May 6, Friday, May 7,
and Saturday, May 8, in the worship center. Mark your calendars now!
