Garden Ministry

The Garden Ministry lines the
Pathway to Christ with flowers,
lovingly planted and tended by his
followers. Team members have
have designed, planted and tended
the gardens of the church while
learning about plant husbandry.
They also have very enjoyable
fellowship while doing their work.
The group also serves the Church
by holding seasonal Plant Sales at
Christmas and Easter to beautify
the Worship Center.
GARDEN MINISTRY WORK SESSIONS: Please join us and help beautify the grounds. We will meet on Wednesday evenings, July 15 and July 29 from 6:30-dark; and on Saturdays, July 18 and August 1 from 9:00 AM-Noon.
Upcoming Projects: We are going to construct a children’s raised bed garden in the Children’s Playground. The intent is to teach children about planting and growing vegetables and flowers, to lead them into knowledge of a peaceful life as exemplified by Jesus. Another project this year is to create crescent-shaped planting mounds at the entrances to the church, with trees and shrubs to invite the un-churched into our Christian fellowship. We have a loving multi-generational fun group, which makes a difference in the appearance of the church while learning about plants and just having a wonderful time together.
The Garden Ministry Team meets monthly to plan activities and discuss plants and the care and maintenance of the Church grounds as well as their homes. During the gardening season, they meet at the Church every other Saturday from 9:00 AM until Noon to maintain the Church grounds. Please come and join this loving group. We would love to have you.
In addition, it sponsors the Tree Donation Program to help beautify our grounds. Donations of any amount will be accepted. Donations can be made "in memory of" or "in honor of" special people in your life or for no special reason at all. We have a book in the church office with the list of potential trees and possible planting locations. All donations will be recorded in this book. If you desire it, you can create a dedication page that will be kept in this book so that your honoree can be remembered. Tree donation forms are available in the church office or at the Information Center. If you would like more information regarding this program, please contact Boris Bubnow.
One recent gift to the church was the design and planting of the Prayer Garden around the gazebo, pictured above.
