Prayer Shawl Ministry
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry brings comfort to those experiencing longterm stress, grief, or illness. Knitted or crocheted shawls are given to people as a physical representation of the community of faith. When people are feeling alone or sad or ill, they can wrap themselves up in the shawls and feel surrounded by the love of God as well as the love of their brothers and sisters in Christ.
You don’t need to know how to knit or crochet to join us – just be willing to learn! This is a wonderful way to show compassion to all who are hurting through the work of your hands.
Meetings to knit, crochet, talk, and pray are on the second Wednesday morning of every month at 10:30 and on the fourth Sunday of every month at 10:30 in Fellowship Hall. Please contact Sally Matthews for more information.
