Our church library has recently been reorganized in the lower level gathering space and kitchenette. It has been created to support the spiritual development and Christian education of Mayfield Church and all who enter our building.
We have a great collection of books of all kinds for children and adults; novels, self-help, parenting, theology, devotions and meditations, United Methodist Women’s reading list, and Bible studies. It’s a rich resource for anyone seeking anything from a good read to spiritual guidance. We also have DVD’s for both adults and children. Please come and browse anytime you are in the building. We are sure you will find something of interest.
Books may be borrowed for three weeks. There are no fines for late returns. We just ask that you be a good neighbor and return all items borrowed as soon as you have finished using them. You don’t have to be a member of Mayfield Church to borrow materials. We ask you to sign in on the library computer in the circulation tab and then check out each item chosen. If you prefer not to use the computer, you may sign out the items on the sheets that are available. Place all returned items in the basket under the computer.
Donations for the library
Would you like to donate to the Library? There are many ways to do that.
We accept donations of books, CDs and DVDs that are in good, clean condition with no writing on the pages. All donated items will be evaluated by the Library Committee with the same criteria as purchased items. Any books accepted will have a bookplate with the givers name placed on the front cover of the book.
You may also donate money to the Library Fund in memory of, in honor of, and for the birthday of.
Family Ministry Builders
Please help your church library..
Family Christian Store has Family Ministry Builder stamps which you can ask for at the time of purchase whenever you purchase anything at their store. For every $5.00 you spend you get one stamp. When the library fills a card with 20 stamps we get $5.00 worth of merchandise from the store. This really helps us in getting new books, DVDs, and CDs to add to our library collection.
Please remember to ask for the stamps.
